Fire & Heat Safety
Information about fire prevention, putting out a fire, and how to be safe with heat or open flames.
- Don’t store aerosols (anything in a metal spray can) near heat sources
- Store oils, lubricants, and fats far away from open flame
- You should have one fire extinguisher for each flame source, kept near where the flame commonly occurs (so a gas oven & fire pit should have one in the kitchen and one outside/by the door)
Types of fire:
Normal fuel, accelerant, grease/oil, electrical, chemical
